If Canada Had TWO 2010 Olympic Hockey Teams... by Ray Irwin
Four years of speculation was ended last week when Canada's roster for the 2010 Olympic games was announced, but we figure, why should the fun stop there?
What if Canada were allowed not one, but two entries to the Winter Games in Vancouver next month?
Well, it wasn't easy and it is sure to draw as much or more critisim than the assembly that Steve Yzerman announced, but here it is folks.

So, let us preface this by saying there is pretty much zero chance of Canada ever having two team entries into the Olympic games. But hey, this is fantasy.
Consider that the teams' #1 competition would likely be their fellow countrymen, and one would have to believe that the club would require a solid mixture of skill, speed, and size up front and the same mixture on the back end.
All four lines suggested above include offensive players with at least one power-forward on each.
On defense, Mike Green is paired with shut-down defenseman Robyn Regehr. The third pairing may be a bit of a surprise but Ed Jovanocski has Olympic experience before and is paired with penalty killer and dependable dman Marc-Edouard Vlasic,
In goal, youth is served. Cam Ward has a Stanley Cup ring and would be the starter. Carey Price and Steve Mason both deserve the nod based more on potential than what they have done, but it doesn't hurt to groom them with Olympic experience for future years.
